Guided Kayak and River Tours
KAYAK TOURS:
You can do our 'Short & Sweet' Tour of 3.5 hours, with one good rapid, or
make it a full 5.5 hours for a longer stretch with our 'Rough & Tumble' trip to
see more of the river. The short trip hits one Class II or III rapid (depending on
water level) and the longer trip will hit that same rapid plus a few other Class
and strength all depend on how much water is being released on an hourly
basis).
A good 1/2 day trip is usually enough for your average adventure seeker. This
gives you 3.5 hours trip time with the Petro glyphs hike to Cerro de la Mascara
included. If you feel the need for more adventure though, we can do longer

Kayaks are Sit-on-Top style, which help beginners to maintain their balance
and recover quickly and easily if they do turn over on a strong current or
rapid. Advanced kayakers will enjoy the open seating style for a new twist
and since this is a Class I river you won't miss any of the control as you gently
drift downstream. We use Ocean Yak Boards and Ocean Scramblers for all
trips. We have two Ocean Malibu Two's for anyone wanting to go tandem.
All kayaks come with back rest, paddle and life vest. Transfers to put in point
and back from take out point as well as cold drinks and English speaking
guide are also included.

cold drinks and courtesy parasol to keep you fashionable and cool. Total trip
time is about 2 hours. Your oarsman will do all the work as you float serenely
down the river with your guide. He'll point out the lovely plethora of birds
skirting across the water, some endemic to the area. A hike to the Petro
glyphs will give you a bit of exercise and a great view of the river too. Your trip
will end at the docks just below downtown El Fuerte where you can walk
along the waterfront back to your hotel.
