Sinforosa Canyon
This trip is fantastic in the summer time when it's too hot to go into the bottom of
the canyons. You'll visit El Fuerte and do a great River Tour, Cerocahui for the
beautiful overlook of Urique Canyon and a hike to a waterfall, Divisadero where
your room looks over the canyon with a hike to some staggering vistas and a
special lunch, Creel and Basaseachi Canyon to see the highest waterfall in

Your trip starts out from the airport in Los Mochis. You'll be met outside
Baggage Claim and will be whisked away to the colonial town of El Fuerte,
just 1.5 hours away.

You'll settle into your lovely hotel and then head out for a self- guided city
walking tour. Dinner is included.
This morning you'll be served breakfast at your hotel. Afterwards, you'll go on
a fantastic River Tour to explore some petroglyph's, see some beautiful birds
and relax as you float down the El Fuerte River. Lunch is on your own today
as is dinner. We suggest you try the Las Canastillas restaurant for lunch as it
overlooks the river and then for dinner you might try El Diligencia or El
General. Sleep in El Fuerte again.
Breakfast first, then you are off to see the overlook of Cerro Gallegos , have a
spot of lunch at the hotel and then a short 2 hour hike to Cerocahui waterfall.  
Afterwards, you'll return to your hotel in Cerocahui for margarita's and to
watch a special dance by a local Raramuri. Dinner is served afterwards and
then you can relax by the campfire and watch the stars.

Breakfast at your hotel this morning and then you can just catch a cab to the
train station. This train line is an engineering wonder and is said to be one of
the best train rides in the world. You should plan to eat your lunch on board
the train. You'll travel today to Bahuichivo train station where you'll
disembark and be driven to your hotel in Cerocahui, just a half hour away
with a Cerocahui city tour along the way.  Horseback riding can be arranged
here if there is still time after your village tour, to a lovely waterfall in a small
canyon. Margarita's are served before dinner tonight around a cozy campfire.

Breakfast first, then your off to catch the train to Creel.  Eat lunch on the train
today as you won't arrive to the Divisadero area until 3pmish. You'll be
transferred to the Mirador Hotel on the rim of the canyon. Each room has a
balcony that hangs over the edge of the cliff and hummingbirds abound on
the terrace with a great view. Dinner is served at the hotel tonight.
Today is an action packed day. You'll be met by a local expert guide today to
hike you along the edge of the canyon. The hike will take about 6 hours so be
up and ready by 8:30am. You'll see some amazing views, including a cave
and perhaps a chance to swim in a waterfall pool. This hike ends today with
a regional discada lunch served to with wine at a table set for a king,
overlooking Urique Canyon. Voila! After lunch, you'll be driven back to your
hotel for a nice rest. Dinner is served at your hotel tonight.

This morning you'll have time to relax in your room, walk along the edge of
the canyon to see "The Ladder" and / or Balancing Rock or just enjoy a good
book under a tree with a great view. The hotel will transfer you to the train
station just after lunch. You'll arrive in Creel today at about 4:30pm. Someone
will meet you there to take you to the Best Western Hotel. Once you are
settled in, please stop by our offices to do the paperwork on your Amigo
Truck Package for your self-guided trip to Basaseachi Falls tomorrow. (if you
prefer to be driven by a professional driver, this can be arranged with no
additional cost to you. Please let us know your preferences upon booking.)
Jump in your Amigo Truck and off you go! The drive to Basaseachi National
Park in Candamena Canyon will only take you 3.5 hours. Once you arrive,
you'll check into your hotel, located within the National Park boundaries, San
Lorenzo Ranch. From here you can drive to several overlook points (we
highly recommend the Amigo Truck for best use of your time while here as
viewpoints are far apart.)

One more full day in this canyon as there is a lot to see and do. Today may be
a nice day to hire a local guide from the hotel and do a hike or horseback ride
to Piedra Volada waterfall. There are also vehicle guided trips to this other
waterfall if you prefer. Sleep at San Lorenzo Ranch again.
Return your Amigo Truck to Creel by 11am today please. Driving time for
return trip to Creel is 4 hours. You can schedule yourself to arrive early
enough to catch your return train to Los Mochis or to Chihuahua. There is
also the option of taking a bus to Chihuahua if you prefer not to wait until 4pm
to get to Chihuahua. You may also decide ( in advance with package booking)
to drive yourself to Chihuahua instead as you are only 3 hours away. End of
services.
Day 10:                                                  
This package includes meals only where mentioned ( B,L,D), train tickets to
Creel from El fuerte with stop in Bahuichivo and Posada Barrancas
(Divisadero area), transfer from Los Mochis airport to El Fuerte, all hotels
mentioned, all transfers and or Amigo Truck.

Not included are: flights into Los Mochis and transportation out of Creel or
tips of any kind at restaurants or hotels.

Cost for this trip is based upon a 4 person minimum and must have a 4
person minimum to operate.

Cost per person is $1,448.50 USD, double occupancy.

** On Day 1, your plane MUST arrive in Los Mochis before 3pm for this
transfer. If your plane arrives after this time, you will need to find your own
transportation to El Fuerte. If you cannot book a flight ticket to arrive before
this time, we suggest you fly in the day before and spend the day in Los
Mochis so that the schedule of the trip is not interrupted. We can help you
arrange a hotel in Los Mochis for the night prior to departure and activities
there as well.

If you need help planning your departure from Creel, this trip can of course be
extended to include your return train tickets to Los Mochis plus hotels or
your train tickets onto Chihuahua and hotel there.
